The House of the Dead[a] is a 1996 horror-themed light gun shooter arcade game developed by Sega AM1 and released by Sega. Players assume the role of agents Thomas Rogan and "G" as they combat an army of undead experiments created by Dr. Curien, a mad scientist. The House of the Dead 4 Special is a two-player attraction based on The House of the Dead 4. The game makes use of two 100-inch screens, one in front of the players and another behind, as well as a five-speaker sound system, giving the impression that enemies are attacking from all directions. The seat shakes when zombies attack, and players are blasted with air whenever they take damage.

Upon reaching the surface, they find the city completely obliterated. Goldman sends them a PDA message indicating that the launch will occur in one hour. The agents find Sophie inside the mansion, but the armored behemoth Chariot seemingly kills her. A sequel, The House of the Dead 2, was released in 1998. Both games, if ported, could easily fit on a 8GB cart, or if Capcom were to add a few bells and whistles, could give us a 16GB cart with improved textures and the like. Developer Forever Entertainment says that it’s working on a House of the Dead 2 remake, as well. Frankly, it and House of the Dead should’ve been bundled together. Finally, three different endings will be unlocked based on the players' scores.
